ABOUT PAIDEN

Paiden was founded in London in November 2024. Now designed in Paris, but remaining made in London. Every product is conceived, patterned, and brought to production by the founder. The name is a combination of the founder's middle and last name. It sits adjacent to her identity without being fully hers, becoming an alias. Paiden’s design process explores the central tension between the who you are and the one you're becoming. Paiden is built around the idea of a wardrobe with intention. Pieces that move between contexts without effort, constructed to last beyond a season, designed with a precision that rewards closer looking. Each collection is produced in small runs, in collaboration with specialist makers in London, including some of the last remaining jersey factories in the UK.

Paiden is the combination of the founders middle and last name. By using the combination of names, the brand feels adjacent but not fully the property of the founder. For the founder, it became a nickname, almost an alias, a second personality. The name reflects the founder’s ongoing exploration of individuality and transformation - themes that inform every collection.

SUSTAINABILITY

Paiden is designed in Paris and manufactured entirely in the United Kingdom. All garments are produced in London, keeping our supply chain local at a time when the vast majority of fashion brands manufacture overseas. This means shorter transport distances, greater oversight of working conditions, and a direct relationship with the people who make our clothes.

We source deadstock fabrics from mills based in the UK. Deadstock refers to surplus fabric left over from other brands’ production runs or overestimated mill orders; material that would otherwise sit in warehouses indefinitely or eventually go to landfill. By purchasing these fabrics we give them a second life without generating new demand for new textile production. Our cotton jersey is produced in Leicester, one of the last places in the UK where textile manufacturing still survives. Leicester was once the hosiery and knitwear capital of Britain, a heritage stretching back centuries, but the industry has declined sharply over recent decades under pressure from overseas competition. The factories that remain carry specialist knowledge and support our vision of supporting the UK textile industry. Making a garment that is fully British, from the fabric itself to the finished piece, is rare in modern fashion.

Paiden doesn't follow seasonal drop cycles or produce large speculative runs. New styles are introduced in small quantities or as pre-order, restocking only when demand is established and fabric remains available. This approach means we carry less inventory, generate less waste, and make considered decisions about what we design. Returns are never discarded. If a returned garment is in resellable condition it goes back into stock. If it is damaged or faulty it goes back to the manufacturer, either to be repaired or to have components reused. Nothing goes to landfill.
